What are your hours?
Our catering hours are typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 7 days a week, with some exceptions for large events when available. It is best to avoid the lunch hour when calling us to inquire about an order since it is one of our busiest times of day. We are frequently on the phone, so please leave us a voice mail if we are unable to answer your call. We will return your call within 24 hours.


How are the items from your menu packaged, presented, served, etc.?

Our food is served in/on plastic catering trays and bowls, with pop-off dome lids. They are fully garnished, arranged and ready to serve- all you must do is pop off the lid. If food is prepared hot we will use foil containers with the special instructions for you to reheat it. 

 

How much notice do I need to give for a catering order?
We usually require at least 3 full business days' notice for small-medium orders. During particularly busy seasons; such as Thanksgiving and Christmas, more time might be required. Because we make everything to order, we need the lead time to ensure all our ingredients are fresh. Exceptions can be made so please call and ask.


In the case of a staffed event we usually require at least two weeks.
If you would like your order delivered, it is best to submit your order at least a week in advance. Our delivery schedule is tight, especially for the breakfast and lunch.


How do I place my order?
The best way to order is to by choosing the platters and sizes you would like, type/write out your order; and fax it to (619) 640 2121 or email it to ejavadov@cox.net
We have an order form at the end of our catering menu which can be found above for your use. Please let us know what time you would like to pick up the platters (from 8 AM to 6 PM; special arrangements can sometimes be made for slightly earlier or later pick-ups), or what half-hour window you would like for delivery. As soon as we can, we will acknowledge your order request, call you with any clarifications, and ultimately fax you a formal order confirmation. (Important: If you do not receive a faxed/emailed confirmation of your order from us, your order has not been placed.) We require a credit card number to guarantee your order.
If you would like to meet in person, please call to make an appointment. We are very busy most days, and often cannot immediately accommodate drop-ins. We are happy to help you in any way with your order---from quantities, to platter selection to creative personalization; often this can be accomplished via an email or fax exchange.

 

When is payment due?

We require a 25% deposit on all orders and the remaining 75% must be paid the day prior to the event.


What is your delivery policy?
We deliver orders that are a minimum of $150.00. We allow ourselves plus or minus 15 minutes from the scheduled time. When we deliver, we simply drop off the food. You are in charge of the set up since the food is essentially ready to serve. If you would like help setting up, please let us know and we can arrange to accommodate your needs. Depending on the size of the delivery we might charge for set up. We must also allow for a longer "set up" window.


What is the charge for delivery?

Everything depends on where the location is and the size of the order.

 

Where do you deliver?

We will deliver anywhere in San Diego (if you are just outside of San Diego please inquire).

 

Can I set up a frequent catering order such as weekly or monthly?

Yes, we are already working with several accounts on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and would be happy to assist you with setting up an account with us, as well as provide your with recommendations and feedback from our existing customers.

 

What is your cancellation policy?

Average orders must be cancelled 72 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellation fees are 50% of the order's pre-tax total. This does vary amongst smaller and bigger orders - all cancellation details will be specified in your contract.

 

Do you cater for weddings? If so, is your catering service different?

We enjoy catering at weddings and will work with our customers on every detail to ensure the perfect execution on your wedding day.

 

Do you work with any event planners/coordinators or can you work with ours?

We currently collaborate with wedding planners/coordinators and would be happy to work with yours.

 

Do you also offer a sit down menu as well as your buffet style menu?

Yes, we do offer a sit down menu - family style or courses, pre-planned to meet your every need.

 

Do you provide drinks?

Yes, upon request.

 

Can I taste any of the foods ahead of time?

Yes, if the ordered food amounts to $500.00 or more, taste testing is upon request.

 

Do you provide the option to rent tables, chairs, dinnerware etc?

Yes, upon request.

 

When you staff and event what type of staff will it include?

We can provide waiters, bartenders and hosts.

 

What is the appropriate gratuity for staff at staffed events?

Usually it is 15%-18% and we do not charge our customers up front. We believe that gratuity should be paid based on the provided service.

 

Can I ask you to prepare food using my recipe?

While we welcome any recipe that a client may wish for us to make, please understand that we must also shop and spend a considerable amount of time preparing these items that are new to our kitchen staff. Because of this our cancellation/refund policy does not apply on any recipe request.
